About Tommy Thatcher

Hello, I have been interested in real estate for several years. I previously had a very fulfilling career working in the oil industry. Over the last 30 years, I’ve specialized in oilfield automation where I had the opportunity to develop a complete department for Apache Corporation in the Central and Permian Basin Regions. When I retired from Apache, I made Horseshoe Bay my permanent residence and began my schooling in real estate. I joined my wife as a REALTOR in June 2015.

We chose this area in the hill country because of our love for this area and all it has to offer. We purchased our first home here in 2012 and came as often as possible.

I have one daughter, three sons, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild all of whom I dearly love and respect. I had the privilege of coaching my boys in their early years in baseball and basketball. That could be why they chose club soccer which was a year-round sport. After their first year in soccer, I became their soccer coach as well. This lasted until their college years.

I have been married to my childhood sweetheart for over 50 years and consider myself to be extremely blessed. My sports interests are golf, college football, and of course soccer. My passion is learning from God’s word.

This career as a real estate agent has been enjoyable. The education of learning the Highland Lakes area with all its diversity from cities to communities to municipalities presents interesting challenges and fulfillment. My goal is to serve every client with honesty and integrity.
